What we collect
Account details: your name, email address or Sign in with Apple identifier.
Your work: the screenshots, texts, colors and App Store links you add to Hōju, and the pages and banners you create with it.
Billing: your plan, billing country and payment history. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
Usage data: which features you use and basic error logs, so we can fix bugs and improve Hōju.
Device data: your Mac model and macOS version, used for compatibility and support. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your data.
Why we use it
To provide Hōju and its AI features, sync and store your projects, process your subscription, answer your messages, keep the service secure and improve the product.
Who we share it with
Our hosting provider stores your account and projects. Our payment provider processes subscriptions. When you use AI Studio, the content you submit is sent to our AI providers only to generate your result, and it is not used to train their models. These providers only process your data on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your projects while your account is active. When you delete your account, your projects and assets are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can export or delete your projects at any time, and delete your whole account from Settings > Account in the Hōju app. Under UK and EU data protection law you can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to restrict or object to its use, by writing to contact@hoju.app. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local authority.
Age
Hōju is a professional tool and is not intended for children under 16.
